X pipe or H pipe
I have a 2003 and getting ready to put flowmaster 40 series on it, but I do not know if i should get an x pipe or h pipe. I know that the x pipe you may get a little more power on the top end, but the h pipe sounds a lot better and will give me more torque. What are your opinions? Is the X pipe worth the money?

Re: X pipe or H pipe
I'm wondering the same thing. This is the last year here in southern Indiana for emission testing I want to replace the exhaust. Was wondering also about what to do with the O2 sensors.

Re: X pipe or H pipe
There really isn't much of a difference between x and h pipes, 1-2 hp. Really comes down to sound. The h pipe will be louder than the x pipe. All of the O2 sensors will still go in the pipe, but you'll need mil eliminators or turn off the back two o2's with a tune to get rid of the check engine light.

Re: X pipe or H pipe
I like my flow-tech x-pipe w/american thunders sounds good

Re: X pipe or H pipe
On a Mod engine alot of people say the X-pipe sounds better. I have run all three and my fav hands down is the MAC Prochamber. It is neither and X or H pipe. They say it gets the best gains but I like the sound the best.

Re: X pipe or H pipe
Thanks, I used to have a 94 gt with an off road h pipe and flowmaster 40 series, and i loved how it sounded. If I were to go by just sound with my 03 gt, should I get the off road h pipe, or off road mac pro chamber-- with flowmaster 40 series.

Re: X pipe or H pipe
I would Go Prochamber over anything and then h-pipe with flows. If you had Borla, Bassani, then I would go Prochamber then X-pipe. for sound.
