The 02 is indeed faster then the 99, 00, and 01. The 02 goes in 5.4, and the 01 goes in 5.5.

I have gteched my 02 many times..when it was stock the best i could do was 5.5/5.4...Now i got 5.3, and I know i could get 5.0 - 5.2.
