Default 86gt Alignment

Installed Ford Racing caster camber plates on my 86gt with sn95 spindles, cant get +3 degrees caster. It will only go to +1.8 with -.7 camber. We can get -1 camber but it drops the caster lower because of the strut opening being round. Steeda says that I wont be able to get anymore caster because of it being an 86 or earlier. Anybody have any ideas? Maximum Motorsports says to notch the top of the strut towers which is fine but seems like there should be enough adjustment with out doing this. Everything underneath is centered up and aligned.

What you are seeing is what i consider typical. Your car probaly is straight but ford didn't design the strut tower to have much adjustment so you have to "redesign" it.

I got out a carbide tip... and MADE the strut tower opening bigger.

I get -2.7 camber, 5 caster, and 1/16 toe out.
