94/95 or 96+ spindles? Darius?
There's so much mis-information on the subject, and I know you've had both...
What's the difference, and why did you choose the 96+? I know the 96+ has a straight steering arm, but if you're using a bumpsteer kit anyway, would the 94/95 do? Does the 96+ move the wheel out 1/4"? I just ordered take-off 99-01 GT PBR calipers from stangparts, includes brackets & lines for $99 /pair, great deal! When I get the spindles, I'll just have to grind them a little to clearance the larger twin-piston caliper. But what spindle? I've got the 99 cobra wheels waiting to go on. I'll do a SN95 rear disk setup, and use a larger bore svo/lincoln MC. I'm considering a manual rack too... |
Also, are you removing the spacers under you're cc plates? The strut/spindle mount is lower, so you might find that the fox3 strut isn't long enough at full extension/droop... just something else to check.

The 96+ spindles move the hub out 1/2" more then the SN95s.

I had the 95 spindles with the M2300K brake s I bought. Then, I wanted to get some brake backing plates to funnel air and _enclose_ (seal) the back of the rotor to this plate to FORCE air THRU the rotor (not just aim air AT the rotor...). That deal fell thru (guy promised a lot and delivered none). Pretty pissed, cause I spent money to get new spindles, and machining all over again, not to get any further. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif

Are the 96+ arms longer than the 94/95 (for increased ackerman)? I'm just wondering if they might steer a litle easier with a manual rack... |
