Been out of the game for a while

Ok...I used to be up on everything that was out and how it performed but that was about 2 years ago. Now I'm looking to redo my front suspension (rear to come soon). I'm trying to find out who's making the best K member these days (packages preferably). Only limitation I have is that it's got to be able to fit 16"x8" wheels w/ 245s into an '84 Mustang's wheelwells. i know a lot of the ones on the market move the wheels forward around 3/4" or so and I figure that may create a problem. Any suggestions?

IMO Maximum Motorsports or Griggs racing make the best K-members for handling, but I believe both of those do move the wheels forward. You can get '91-'93 front fenders to increase the clearance a bit over stock, but I can't say if that is enough without further modifications for clearance. I do know that most of the cars that I have seen with the MM setup are Fox bodies. I would call MM and I'm sure they could tell you.

I figured I'd probably have to do that. Hell...when I put my car down for storage 2 years ago they were still talking about releasing their K-members and had been talking for around a year. I was amazed when they finally got released. Honestly...you wouldn't think 16"x8" wheels would be a huge deal but these rub at full lock as it is. Not sure how to go about getting the '91-'93 fenders and installing them although I've entertained that option. Guess I'll just have to look around. Anyone I should stay away from?

I recommend Griggs or MM.

On mine, I used the 1" forward setting with the Griggs unit.

Both are great units. You ddo not have to buy '91-93 fenders if you don't want to. You can buy the '91-93 front lower fender trim & roll the front lower fender lip out of the way. The new lower fender trim covers up the modification. Or you can buy th '93 fenders.
