Default rattling front caliper

I recently did the Lincoln caliper upgrade and now the front right one is rattling. I've torqued the caliper bolts and everything looks okay. Seems that the whole caliper and brake pads are rather loose on the spindles. I do have those stainless steel inserts for the bolts if that makes any difference. It also continues to stop just fine. Is there anything else to check? Being the brakes, its got me a little concerned.

If you have the stainless bushings the calipers shouldn't move at all. I had the same problem once and it turned out to be the brake pads. I hole where the caliper bolt slides through had become elongated, probably due to a defect in the pad. I think it had something to due with stomping on the brakes at 130mph LOL, a big no-no with early fox style brakes.

It is probably the pads rattling.

Drive slowly on a bumpy road with the window down. Then ride the brakes a little. If the rattling stops, it is the brakes.
