This doesn't add up...
A new kid at work has an '86 GT.
According to him, it has Twisted Wedge heads, an Edelbrock Performer intake, unequal-length shorties, 36lb (I think...they have a red top) injectors, and a big-*** MAF...and that's all. He claims that not only is it making "about 520 at the wheels", but that he also has the STOCK, ORIGINAL T5, and that it uns "low 11s". Now, I am not an engine expert. I really don't think the car runs low 11's, especially considering the $3000 in stereo equipment he has under the hatch. Secondly, I don't think you can make more than 550hp with a N/A 302. Don't most well-built 347s only crank out 350-400? |

Tell him to show a dyno sheet, or else he is bs'ing for sure, also, check and make sure its not a 392 stroker with 11:5:1 compression, and it still wont make that kind of power even if it was, 520 at the wheels will put him in low 10's imo.
That much hp would snap that t-5 after all those original miles, also, you wont find many stangs making more than 400hp with unequal lenght headers, not n/a anyways.
