Default help oil in intake and throttle body

last night i was in first hauling butt and it popped outta gear and i overrevved perty high, i lost all my revlimilters except for the 8000 and i know my engine is nowhere near capable of that, i did not hit the rev limiter but anyway right after that there was a loud ticking coming from the valvetrain(drivers side valve cover) but no driveability problems so i shut it down for a few minutes, i then started her back up, no loud ticking but it was driving like ****, i was only 2 miles from home so i brought her back home, almost felt like i broke a mount but mounts are good, anywayz this morning i took off the intake to get to the valve covers and noticed oil in the intake and throttle body and the valve cover will not come off, i talked to my mechanic and he is coming over this afternoon he told me to leave it alone he would get the cover off but im anxious to know what is going on any guesses? please respond a let me know what you think!!!!!!!!!!!!engine only has 3000 miled grrrrrrrrrrr, at idle it revs fine but in gear it feels almost like it is skipping HELP!! thanx

Over-revved, eh? I'd bet that you bent at least one exhaust valve and pushrod. I've seen where they've kissed and broken the petal off the exhaust valve and the valve stem remaining pushed a hole in the piston. It that's the case, you could be blowing oil out the TB/oil fill tube. You won't know for sure until you pull the valve covers. Try running a compression test on all the cylinders and see if you've got a dead one.

Is it smoking? If not, you may have just spun a rocker, and have a dead cylinder as a result.

Take care,
