![]() Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I need some help trying to figure out what might be causing this noise. Most of the time when I go over bumps there is a loud squeeking coming from my car. Sounds like it's coming from the rear. I have replaced my rear shocks and the noise is still there. I was told by the dealer that it should not be my horizontal shocks regardless of the age of my car. The noise is getting to be a little irritating. What do you think it is? Any ideas?

![]() Could be the bushings in the control arms (upper or lower)...?

![]() If the rear control arms are stock then they probably don't have grease fittings. So it could be the bushings squeeking.

![]() found my prob, it was the lower control arm bushing on the passenger side. the bolt that went thru the bushing was junked, about 1/4 the size it used to be. i went ahead and replaced the upper and lower control arms. no more squeek weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

![]() I guess it's safe to assume that I could eliminate that squeeking if I replaced all of my stock rubber bushiings. They're still the original ones from the factory.
