Post Opinions of Maximum Motorsports' suspension package

First off let me congratulate Dan on a perfect addition to an already popular message board.

I just wanted to get some opinions on the MM suspension system. 5.0 Magazine (12/98) installed their suspension package in a 180,000 mi '90 LX and the guys at Motor Trend tested it. They got a 72mph slalom and .97 g's out of it! I find that impressive but I don't know how this package compares to the others. As for me, $2000 for a vette and porshe eater seems like a good deal. Just slap on an S-Trim and you have the performance of $100,000 for 1/10 the price.

------------------
90 GT - The basics (MagnaFlow mufflers, pulleys, Moroso air relocation)
- New stock long block, stock intake, 75mm MAF w/ 24lbs, 65mmTB, 2.73's(yuck)
- Just installed KYB shocks and struts, BBK upper & lower control arms
- Best Run: 14.86@97.5 with crappy radials

Only thing I can comment on is their RLCA are designed backwards; they've got the spherical bearing on the wrong end. GW makes much better RLCA IMO...

------------------
96 GT: KB subs, March pulleys, Bassani X pipe, 3.73's, alum. drive shaft, 70mm TB, K&N, KB Carbon Kevlar BP, Steeda Tri-ax shifter, Flowmasters, MSD wires

H&R springs, Tokico Illuminas,MM C/C plate & GW RLCA sitting in the garage waiting for a free weekend...

Caution. I have reqad that article too. I have my speculations on the .97 but thats another story. For a bolt on suspension, you need to decide where to start/stop. Seriously, figure out what you wanna do. Otherwise you will be doing it over and over (like me). I went thru a few bolt-ons and springs/shocks... Until I finally designed and built my own torque-arm/panhard suspension. Now I am redoing (modifying) even that!
