88GT performance mods ??
Got an 88GT that's still speed density, here are the mods done to date: long-tube headers, complete MAC hi-flow exhaust system, underdrive pulleys, BlackMagic electric fan.
I've been told we're pretty much at the limits as long as we keep the speed density. We put a K&N high-flow cononical filter on and the car wouldn't idle. Went back to stock filter and car does idle - a little high occasionally but doesn't die like before. Our goal is to build a weekend-warrior with about 600HP. I would like to swap to MAF go with different heads, etc. The long-term goal is to put a blower on and when stock block dies - put a DSS in. What do you guys think a good engine strategy would be? |
