which gear ratio...

I know that the 1/4 mile guys like the 3.73's and the 4.10's. I was wondering which gear ratio the track/road racers like the best?
3.27's,3.55's, or 3.73's???
Just wondering. Thanks.

I was wondering this too. I was going to get 373's but I'm afraid I'll be running thru too many gears not to mention when you downshift for a corner and then the back end goes wide. I'm thinking 355's anyone else?

Just depends on how fast you want to go. You can gear for 160 on the open road or 120 on a closed circuit. Use this formula :
axle=rpm*W*1/88 /mph, where W equals tire circumference in feet. This is for 4th gear 1 to 1.
