Default quick help, please

I'm in the process of changing the rack on my 89. How the heck do you get at the nuta/bolt on the pincher that attaches the steering rack to the rack? I can see it, but there's no way to get at it!

Not sure exactly what you mean. I am assuming that its the bolt that attaches the steering SHAFT to the RACK, right?

Try pulling the whole shaft then. Yeah, undo the bolt near your firewall (brake booster area), and yank the whole rack with the steering shaft with it. Just a thought.
