Saleen Rear Shock Tower Brace
Partly because I found it cheaply, I got a Saleen rear shock tower brace.
The brace is a heavy and rather think bar. It has two threaded holes on either side, and came with two matching bolts and washers. Installation was described as easy, but it came with no instructions. I see no obvious place for this thing to bolt on. Is this part of a larger set (cage maybe) or is the term "easy" used rather losely here? Any insight is welcome. Thanks. |
Havnt seen the bar, so here is an educated guess. Maybe the bar is meant to be mounted between the shock towers, by drilling a hole into the wheel well. Then using the bolt from INSIDE the wheel well, and screwing it into the bar.
Kinda like the way I WELDED this in... rear strut brace ------------------ Darius Rudis Roadracer: Home built t-arm/panhard suspension powered by an S-trimmed motor :-) My Mustang Page |
Thanks. Could very well be. Although the diamater and probably the weight of the bar is about twice yours. And I wouldn't describe that installation as "easy". I think I may join the growing crowd of non-saleen after market fans.
