That sucks!
Been there, done that. I don't know about Canada, but there is a way here in the States to argue it, our Constitution states that we have the right to face our accuser in a court of law. Also, you can file a request for all of the calibration test results and maintenance logs for the equipment. If anything is out of order, they have to drop the ticket. If it happens here in the States, the best thing you can do is get a lawyer. $300 for a lawyer is better than $3000 dollars in extra insurance over the next few years.
