Get the 3.73 gears. Best bang for the buck on stick motor. It'll "fake" you car into feeling like it makes more power, in that the gears will give you mechanical advantage.

Tires are fitted to rims, stock rims are 7", so dont get anything wider than 245's. Anything wider might fit, but dont really do much, as you arent planting the tire completely flat footprint. Sure they look cooler, but dont help, and actually hurt.
Tires are expensive, get the best tire you can afford, and you get what you pay for. So dont expect to go to PepBoys and $49.99 tire to outrun a BFG KD at $229/tire.
I cannot recommend a street tire (just race tires), as I havnt bought a performance street tire in a while.
