Default Handling help

Drudis

Would you please take a look at these photos and tell me what you think on how the tires are put onto the ground.

http://dettagli.no-ip.com/turagua0603/DSCN2731.JPG

The car is in it's almost stock weight, a fewer pound here and there but just a few.

Front: It has relocated bushings on stock front A-arms, 950-1050lbs H&R springs, koni yellows, middle setting and stock anti sway bar (1 5/1" if I not wrong)

Rear: MM Alum panhard, MM Torque Arm 390-430 lbs springs, cobra rear sway bar, koni yellows.

I forgot, it has 1.8 camber and 3.5 caster, toe is in it's stocks toe out limits, w/steeda camber plates. I know it may need a little more camber on temp readings that we got on the pyrometer.

I'm thinking on findind a better sway bars front/rear, what do you think?

It seems like your rear springs are a bit soft at 300 lb/in. If they are in the stock location, I would think that with the torque arm and the 1000 lb/in front springs that you would be getting understeer. Most folks recommend closer to 350 or 400 lb/in for that type of setup so that the rear will take on more cornering load.

I might remind the number wrong, the springs where recommended by Chuck of MM given my current front springs, I'll check that out again.

Cool, that sounds more like the right rear spring rate for your combo. If you can get more positive caster with the plates you have I would put it up to 5 deg. or so. This will turn into more negative camber as you turn the wheel without causing extra uneven tire wear going straight.

I'll have to take some material from shock towers. I'll do that.

Any other ideas?

do you have any other poly bushings? if so....then i would recommend an aftermarket anti-sway bar since it looks as though the car is rolling onto the outside wheel and lifting the inside.
...Energy Suspension Master Kit.. i have it. Works great.

I think I've found a 1 3/8" front bar, would check bar installation and bushings (already has energy bushings), will make more clearance in the stru tower to get more caster, then meter bump steer to check.

But I don't know where I might get a stiffer rear anti sway bar that could get fit cause I've already has the torque arm and panhard bar and after market chassis fitted bars like hotchkis or steeda extra won't fit (I assume), any ideas?

Really Sorry drudis, I've modded the site that host the photos making them smaller and forgot to edit the message, now I can't edit it anymore so I'm posting new links here. Thanks.

IMOHO, the springs and shocks are at about th right setting, especially th rears.
(Depending on who you ask) My front 425# coilovers are either 850# or 1700# (2x or 4x). And I still barely lift the front tire. That could be solved with 50# heavier rear spring, and I am only running 350# rears (soft).
See this link for a series of photos: http://www.dariusrudis.com/mustang/svtoa/

I would try playing with rear panhard height. IMOHO, its the roll center of he rear that is producing the front to roll over on itself.
