It appears to work on a similiar principal as a Watts link. Using the first picture and drawing out a scale model on paper it appears that it would work.
But I'm not a big fan of IPS, although they do have some interesting suspension setups. They tend to use lots and lots of techno-babble to attempt to impress people. What "closed loop kinetics" is, or how it is different then statics and dynamics, I will never know. Anyway, enough ranting. With a Maximum Motorsports or Griggs panhard rod, you will only get a fraction of an inch of lateral deflection though out the suspension travel, plus you can still run tail pipes out the back. But if you still prefer a no deflection system, check out Griggs' Watts link. ------------------ AIM: Some97Snake [This message has been edited by 97snakedriver (edited 12-28-2000).] |
