Race seats
I've been looking for some good race seats, that I can still use on the street comfortably. I drive my car all the time, not just at the race track, and want a seat that I can use at the strip/track and retain all the discs of my spine on the street. I've looked at Corbeau, where can I find info on Jax or other seats?

I run the Polyethylene JAZ seats in mine with the covers, they are OK to me on the street. But they are far from the comfort of a stock seat, or a Corbeau. www.jazracing.com

Been wanting to know this for a long time...what is the purpose of race seats? Is it the weight reduction or what?

Yup,most people get them for the weight reduction, because the stock seats are usually pretty hefty ------------------ Paxton Blown 87GT ICQ#112698436 |

My JAZ seat wiegh in at a whopping 17 lbs, about half of a stock seat. SOme stock seats have metal backs in them and some have plastic. Mine were metal, same with the back seat also. My dads 93 Cobra has plastic. It's a weight reduction thing, on a road race car there seats keep you planted in the seat and not sliding back and forth.

Race seats have more bolstering to keep you in place (I plan on road racing) as well as haveing holes for a 4 or 5 point harness.
