mac lowering springs..
I have asked this question in the Windsor Power forum, but I thought I would also ask in here.
I want to lower my car by using these springs, but that is all I want to do, no shocks, no struts, no CC plates. Can I do it? They will only lower the car 1.5". Can I do it? Not sure about this brand of spring. I personally have tried Eibach (rank them VERY high) and BBK (ok). I hear good things about H&R. THe rest fall into i-dunno (or ok from what I hear).
I beleive you get what you pay for. and high quality springs will set level and not sag over time. As for doing it without other stuff (shocks...) Sure you can. Just make sure that the original equipment is in good shape. Most of the aftermarket springs only increase rates by 9-10% stiffer. Should be ok. CC plates might be _needed_ (if the alignment shop cannot get the right numbers). ------------------ Darius Rudis Roadracer: Home built t-arm/panhard suspension powered by an S-trimmed motor :-) My Mustang Page |

Thanks Darius,
I will have to do some more research I thought I would let you know that my side exhaust system is coming together nicely. I have the Dynomax mufflers, a shop that will cut and weld any pipe I need, and I am woking on getting some sweet stailess steel pipes. Now all I need is the car, damn snow! Thanks for all your help!
