Torque Arm - Panhard Bar set-up
drudis,
I noticed that you have a home-built torque arm and panhard bar set-up on your steed. I would love the same set-up on my car. I am definantly the "do-it-yourselfer" and was wondering how you got specifications to do your suspension. Are there any books out there with specifications or plans on how to do that type of thing? Did you just put your car in the air and figure stuff out as you went along or what? You know, you should write a book that tells how to build a torque-arm / panhard bar suspension. You could probably make like $50 on each set! I would pay that much for a set of instructions on how to build my own torque arm set-up... Let me know what you think. Maybe we could split the revenues 60-40! ;-) Seriously though... I would be interested to know how you went about doing it. Does it work pretty well for you? I did check out your website hoping that you had a step-by-step. Any plans for one on there? ------------------ Red '90 GT Kenny Brown Springs & Subs, KYBs, FFR Upper & Lower Control arms, K&N, Cervini 2 1/2 cowl, & Polished ROH ZR6 wheels... |

You know, I always thought of doing that,
but am afraid of lawsuits.... Its not an original design, cause I stole what I could from Griggs. I just modified it for easier construction, or beefier pieces, and/or more welds (make up for design flaws). ------------------ Darius Rudis Home built t-arm/panhard suspension powered by an S-trimmed motor :-) My Mustang Page |

Yeah, that is what I figured... Maybe when I get serious about doing one myself, I can consult you if necessary. Thanks drudis.

Check out the book "Mustamg Performance handbook 2" by William R Mathis (it has a red 93 R on the cover) on page 104-105 are all kinds of specks on building a torque arm. I bought this book about a 2 weeks ago and there is a ton of do-it-yourself stuff in here!!(blue print/specks)
Mustang Unlimited has it listed for 14.95 Hope this helps Later James |
