Track days - brakes
I am running at Sebring Dec 7 in an open track day. I have a 1998 Cobra. Any advice on pads. How well will the stock Cobra pads hold up? Any suggestions, experiences, advice welcome. Thanks.

You might wish to try the Performance Friction pads. THese are a track performance pad. Not cheap at $200 for the fronts, but they do manage to live at the track.
DUCTING. Once of THE biggest improvements you can make for brake longevity is ducting some fresh air into there. I ran stock brakes and rear drums for a few years, managing to get by with some ductwork to the front rotors. Clearly not any near capable of aftermarket (Cobra / Brembo / Baer) brakes, but let me survive a day at the track. Other than that, remember to drive SMOOTHE! If you cannot stop on a dime, time and time again, then dont. Learn to "momentum drive" and carry the speed thru the right line. Ke to this is finding the right line. Other than that, go out and have fun.
