Default 4.6 trucks?

What year(s) was the switch from the Windsor to the 4.6 made in the trucks. I know you can get the little cammer in the f150's and I'm guessing some Explorers. I'm off to do a little junkyard hunting and experimenting. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Well, that's going to make it harder to find them, now isn't it?

I'm thinking 1996 for the trucks...but I've been wrong a lot today.
