87 F-150 understand can use newer ecu
Met someone that used to bracket race 5.0s. The guy said something about being able to use the computer out of a newer vehicle. I know a newer f-150 the wirring to the plug for the computer is different. So I allready know I would have to rewire the plug. So I do not think it would matter If I used a computer from a mustang. In fact, I feel it could be a benefit if it is more responsive, and more tuneable. If any one has done this let me know how it worked for you please. This 5.0 has shown me it has potential for a lot more than It gives!

Are you going to change it over to mass air?

Checked at a local bone yard I can get ecu, and maf for reasonable price. Which as I understand will give me the ability to to use programmer, using flash rom chips. changing the tune with a programmer as I make changes.
