Just screwed up my moms truck

I just went to get a 6x8 wood post, because my parents horses broke one of the posts on their fence. I didn't realize how big 6x8 was when I bought, it's huge. So I get it in my mom's Tacoma and head out to where the horses are. After 15 minutes of driving and the post not moving, the post starts to roll across the bed while I am turning. I slow down although I was already going very slow anticipating this might happen. The post rolls all the way across the bed flips out of the bed and some how manages to smash the back window and window frame on its way out of the truck. The post then rolls down the road about 50 feet. Luckily there was no one around to witness my stupidity in not tying down the post. I can't wait till my mom sees her truck.

Lesson learned. Next time tie it down!! That is if there is a next time. Nah, it's prolly not that bad and hey, it's a truck. It's meant to haul "stuff" and get a little beat up.

Maybe if you had a CO2 powered wheelie bar....

Sorry man, you'll get chewed out, but they will understand, and love you just as much as they always have. It's called Family.

:)

Take care,
-Chris

Tough luck, hope mom don't get to mad at ya. :D Explain to her your good intentions and I'm sure you'll be fine.

I talked to them and they weren't too pissed.

I drove through the gate in their backyard last year when the gate blew closed on the truck and scratched and dented it up. Then I nailed a piece of plywood that blew out of a guys truck in front of me on the highway going about 60. That destroyed the license plate and messed up the bumber. My dad got hit by a drunk driver in the middle of the day in that truck(no one was hurt).

I think my mom should just sell it and get a new one, it's bad luck.

Dude, no offense, but let me know if anyone in your family ever plans on driving that truck anywhere near So Cal, okay? A weeks warning should suffice. Thanks.

:)

Take care,
-Chris
