aod shifting at what rpm???
should i put my aod in drive and let it do the shifting it's self when i race or should i do the 1 od 1 shifting? If i need to do the 1 od 1 shifting at what rpm should i shift to 2nd gear?
Thanks for any help with my question. |

Actually, it's 1-D-1 shifting. Most people warn against it, saying it will shorten your tranny life...and it probably will. I only use it when racing or at the track. When you shift up from 1 to D, let the tranny complete the shift fully before you pull it back into 1. As for when to shift, it depends on where you make power. For a near stock application, I would say move the shifter at around 4800-5000 rpm.
