depressurize fuel lines '00 F-150??
I have a 2000 F-150 with the 5.4 Triton V8. I want to change my fuel filter. I have the appropriate tools to compress the spring on the fuel line connections...but don't I have to depressurize the fuel system first? Is there a schrader valve somewhere? Or a switch I can turn that shuts off fuel...then start the motor until it runs out of gas...like you have to do with the Broncos from the early 90s? Any info. would be great.

depressurize
No one has a clue? Come on guys...I know some of you know. Is there an inertia switch or something behind one of the kick panels??

I would de-pressureize it if I was doing it. Its not going to hurt anything. Just when you get it done. Turn the key on and off a few times letting the fuel pump cycle on and off to rebuild pressure and fill the filter.

right
I know that part. I've changed a fuel filter before, just not in my truck. I've tried to get the fuel filter out with the appropriate tools. It doesn't budge. I need to know how to depressurize the fuel system in an '00 F-150? Anyone??

I assume it has a schrade valve like other vehicles??? Never worked on a post 98 So im really not sure.
