computer differences
hey, i was wondering what the computer differences are in a 5.0. the reason i ask is i got a 5.0 for my jeep and after i pulled it i went to grab the computer but.....it had already been pulled. i couldn't just leave the motor because it was in great shape, cheap and had low mileage. i talked to the wrecker about the computer and he is going to track one down for me (free) and i am supposed to pick it up this friday. now is there any differences between the computers with the different yrs?
model numbers of computers would be great if any of you guys have them. |

The only thing I can say is try to get a computer from the same year as your motor. I know that there are differences between the 89-93 and 94-95 wiring harnesses.

there is also a difference between the 87-88 and 89-93
if the motor has a mass air sensor (89-93) then I believe the best computer is the A9L, there are a few other codes that are nearly as good Just make sure you get a computer for the proper years (87-88, 89-93 or 94-95)
