![]() What do you use to haul your stang or other Ford to the races? I'm thinking about buying a 2001 F-150 with a 4.6 but I figured I'd check what everybody else uses. Just to get an idea.
Thanks |

![]() I pull with a 1995 E-150 Econoline conversion van with the 351W, E4OD tranny and 3.55:1 gears. It does a good job pulling even though we top out at about 12,000+ pounds when fully loaded. It gets about 12mpg on the highway in pulling trim.
For trailers, think about a 16' minimum length, low-boy deck trailer with a 3' to 4' dovetail. Get good C or D load range radial tires on it if you plan on pulling any distance at all. Also get electric brakes on BOTH axles if you plan on going over the road. ------------------ Jeff Chambers T/S #4 12.028 Seconds/114.51 MPH http://www.kellnet.com/chambers/default.htm |
