Default AODE Shifting problems

I have a 1994 Mustang GT with an AODE Transmission. It downshifts when it's not supposed to, and also slips out of gear and just revs. I've had the transmission rebuilt, and it still has the same problem. I also replaced the throttle position sensor and the electronic pressure control solenoid. Still no improvement. does anyone out there know what the problem may be? Is there more information needed for a diagnosis?

Default AOD Doctor

try www.tccoa.com, they've got a member who's a genuine Ford auto trans engineer. See a couple write-ups of his in their tech articles, transmissions, like "trans 101" etc.

Unhappy AODE woes

I would say take it back to whom ever rebuilt the thing. Something wasn't done right and if you paid for the work then you expect an improvement. Just my 2cents...........

Default problem fixed!

good news, guys. the guys at the transmission shop replaced the right part, and it turned out to be the manual lever position switch. hope this helps others.
