Post SVT Mustang owners??

I am curious as to what some SVT Cobra owners may have done to squeak a few more hp out of the 32v DOHC engine????

Cool

Although I'm not a Cobra owner .... yet.

But the same bolt-ons for a GT would apply.

1. Gears - (3.73s 4.10s and 4.56s}
2. Exhaust
3. Pulleys
4. port & polish and match intake to the heads

Same stuff.

Thumbs up

supercharger'll do the trick!
throttle body
mass air meter
K&N
subframe connectors
aluminum driveshaft
control arms
drag struts
skinnies
slicks

did you win the lottery or something

There is a thread on another Corral.net about that. Search for Cam breakage. Something about the cam gear coming off and taking out the motor.

Check my mods. I like em!

I have the K&N and I run 94 octane at all times. Been thinking about pulleys...

Talked to the local SVT service guy and he said that Borla or any other exhaust isn't gonna do much for me as the "fix" already decreased restrictions signifiicantly.
It does run like it has 320hp, maybe a bit more.

He suggested supercharger. Installed, setup and tested for $4900.

Forget the slicks as I am into roadracing, not dragging.

My 99 Cobra ragtop doesn't rattle under the hood. The only rattle I hear is the occassional exhaust shield rattle which is quite obvious when it does rattle.

I think they're BSing you.

What does your rattle sound like? Please don't say metal....

The mufflers and tailpipes I've heard do flow pretty good after the "fix". However, the stock x-pipe is where the real problem is. Replace it with either a h or x pipe with or without converters. If you have emissions laws where you live go with the converts but if not, the off road (no converters) h or x pipe will wake it up (not to mention anyone around you!) You will also need a set of MIL eliminators if you go with the off road piece or you will get the dreaded "Check Engine" light. If you change mufflers you really won't get much more other than a better sound. That's my $.02
