Default So which is it ?? :{

I was told when I bought my 1999 Mustang, new at the dealer, that my particular model Mustang was rated at 190 H.P.. Now at Ford's web site, I register and it states that my car is only rated at 150 H.P.. So what gives? I've heard that Ford sometimes publishes lower H.P. ratings to keep insurance rates down. Could this be the case here? I figuired if anyone knows it would be someone here at the forum! Should would like to here back from those at the Forum or maybe how or where I can find out.
Thanks in advance
Butcher

They are rated at 190hp. With out the spare tire the will run 14.9 in the quater mile. I have no idea why ford says 150. 94-98 have 145 - 150 hp. When they made the new body style the put better heads and better intake to go up 40 hp. Hope this helps.
