Question Mass Air Conversion

I need to change over to a Mass air system on my 87gt. Can I use any Ford computer from any model 88 or newer with a 5.0 engine. I'll be using 30lb injectors so I know I'll need a different calibrated mass air meter. If I can't use just anyone, which computers will work. I'm trying to get away with out spending $500 for the ford conversion.

you can not use the '88 computer, unless you find an '88 that was made in California because they had mass air in '88. You will need an '89 or higher model computer for your conversion ('88-'89 is the aggressive computers). If you plan on running 30lbs injectors you will need a after factory mass air meter, you can call summit or any performance parts store and order the mass air conversion pigtail to keep you from having to change the complete wireing harness
(PRO-M mass air wiring harness, part#PFMAWF). Then all you will need to complete the swap is the air tube from the air box to the intake.
