Default stock gt40p lift and high lift cams

The stock gt40p valve spring lift is up to 0.510? If I use a cam with lifts below that point (say 0.498), itīs ok?
And if I keep the stock EEC, since the rpms are cut at around 6000, itīs useless a cam that revs beyond that point, right?
Anybody knows the rpm range of the Steeda #19?
Thanks for any info
