Just installed a K&N FIPK kit and a set or Power Pullies on the truck. I can tell a difference on the street but I am gonna wait untill next saturday to decide if it really helped. Truck ran a new best of 10.75 friday night. First pass was a 11.07. With no burnout. Second pass was 11.19 with a burnout, but I was just playing with the street tires then. Third pass, bumped timing to 12 degree's ran a 10.94 spinnin with a burnout. Fourth Pass, burnout, shifted later ran a 10.901. Fifth pass. Burnout, shifted later, 10.89 GETTING BETTER.... 6th pass No Burnout, let the tranny shift itselfwith the B&M Shift Improver Kit set in second position. Ran a 10.75... First and second pass also had B&M Switch on second position. So overall I picked up three tenths. With just playing with driving and no burnouts. Gonna see what it does this weekend.

Those times are pretty descent for your truck. That would be a 16.77 @85 or so in the 1/4.

I dont think burnouts are necessary on street tires. If anything its hurting you. My 00' GMC which came with 270HP only ran a 16.40 @86 stock. You should be able to get that truck in the 15's with minimal effort. Good luck with your new mods,

Thanks man, Im also gonna be adding a electric fan kit in the next few weeks hopefully. Maybe that will help it out some to. Those times are ok for bragging right but im looking for more power while im towing the mustang around. hopefully i will get that and make the truck more fun to drive.

Have I ever mentioned I use the ranchero as my tow vehicle? Its got a 460 in it now, should be good for low 14's at alttitude. Fastest tow rig around. ;-)
