New times with the Paxton

Well I ran my personal best times ever yesterday. I ran at a different track that I usually run at, and this one is supposed to be better than my normal track. It was a cold day, probably didn't get about 43-45 degrees all day. Had a slight cross wind on the track too. The track is about 3600-3800 feet or so, still waiting to find out for sure. After running a bunch of pathetic 14.5's with MT ET's, my buddy drove it twice and pulled off a 14.3 and a 14.0. So there was enough motivation for me. My next run out was a 13.88 @ 96.6, and figuring the track at 3600ft for now, is about a 13.27 @ 101.09 at sea level. I was so happy when I got my time slip! :D I wanted to go home with a 13.8 under y belt yesterday, but after all the 14.5's I wasn;t sure it would happen. Figured I would be happy with a 13.99 (which I happened to get too.) So that 13.88 is improved from a 15.04 with the Novi 1000 and the slicks. Wish I had some before times with slicks to compare though. Just thought I would share my great day with everybody! Thanks for everybody's help on here when I have needed it! Guess I need to change my signature now!

Man that must be some really bad air.....where in N.M. are you............The track I race at is 3000ft physical alttitude but the conditions routinely make the air 3600ft.

I ran a 15.2 stock and a 14.59 before my Heads, Intake, 1.7's, sub-frames and ignition mods.

I am probably running a 13.7-13.8 now on drag radials.

The air must be worse than you think just cause the physical alttitude is 3600-3800ft doesnt mean thats what it is the conditions where you are at must make the air even thinner and make it more like 4200-4500ft.

Your not in Hobbs are you???

Everything sucks up here, don't it Chris? I wouldn't be surprised if the air was worse! Congrats on the new times...I'm sure you'll improve with more practice. Me? I'm planning on Thunder Alley the 22nd. I'll let you know.

Well I got an email back from the track this morning. They say they are exactly 3892 ft above sea level, which just fort he physical altitude, my coreected times now would be 13.21 @ 101.49. Not excatly the fastest car out there, but a whole lot better than it was last year! Robert, let me know for sure when you are going to thunder alley. I may try and show up. I hear they redid the track down there, and I am curious as to how good of a job they did. Arroyo Seco is so much better than Thunder Alley used to be anyway. I may see if I can get some of the guys here to go with. I definately need to get some of my own slicks. I doubt I would race anymore without them! let me know dude.
Ohh btw Dark, I am in Las Cruces, about 40 miles NW of El Paso.
