Welcome truck owners!
We've just created a brand new forum specifically for Ford truck owners to discuss their vehicles. I am a Ford truck owner myself, so it got me thinking, "hey, we don't have a real place for just truck stuff!" I figure there probably are Ford trunk owners who visit this site, even if they don't have a Mustang of any type or they are most certain many readers of this site who own Mustangs, but also own a Ford truck like I do.
So, what shall we discuss first? ------------------ Dan McClain, Editor The Mustang Works Magazine 1991 Mustang GT - NOVI Supercharged 377 Stroker 1999 Ford Lightning SVT - 2000 Prototype updated by Roush |

Ya know Dan this is a great idea..
Lately I've been thinking on buying either a 4x4 Ford Ranger OR a 4x4 Ford Explorer so I'm sure this section will be of some use for me You have any thoughts on either the Ranger or the Explorer Dan? ------------------ Paxton Blown 87GT |

Well, I have a friend who owns a 4x4 ranger and I work with a guy who just bought a new Explorer Sport. I think it would just depend on what you need. Do you need more interior room or do you need the bed of a truck for moving things and the like. Quite frankly, I acquired my Lightning because I needed a tow vehicle for a trailer to haul my Mustang on to the track. Really, I didn't want a truck per say. Hell, I always said I wasn't "a truck guy". So, I went with a Lightning because it was the only compromise between a truck and a Mustang! hahaha.
However, now that I've had the thing for a while I am thrilled with it. I'm very glad that I ended up getting the Lightning over what I was considering, which was an Expedition. Actually, what I really wanted was a new Mustang Cobra Convertible (still do). But, if I had gotten that I'd still be in the same boat of not having a tow vehicle for the beast. Oh yeah, and I've beaten two "stockish" new Mustang GT's already with it in stop light races! hehehe ------------------ Dan McClain, Editor The Mustang Works Magazine 1991 Mustang GT - NOVI Supercharged 377 Stroker 1999 Ford Lightning SVT - 2000 Prototype updated by Roush [This message has been edited by Dan McClain (edited 02-05-2001).] |

Finally a place where I can talk about my truck. Thanks alot Dan this is really cool. I bought my first truck in november a 97 f-150 5.4 xlt mark 3 conversion with dual flowmasters. It sounds awesome. I will tell u one thing I will never have anything but a ford f series as my daily driver again. That is how much I love my truck.

Awesome!
I have a F150 4x4 RC to tow my Mustang to shows. The truck will also be my daughter's "daily driver" when she gets her license this summer. Dan, I think this is a great idea. I bought an old "beater" truck last year that started competing for my time. If you start a Ford Focus forum you'll cover every vehicle I own. Here's to the greatest selling truck!

Thanks for adding this forum. I currently only have a truck. It is a 97 F150 4x4 extended cab lariat. I love this truck probably the best vehicle I have ever owned. I am soon going to be buying another mustang however. I am not getting rid of the truck though. This is the best mustang site I have found and now it is even better with the addition of the trucks.
