Smile 2005 Ranger Edge

I have been thinking about getting a new vehicle this year and there are a lot of good deals on '05 Ford Trucks. I didn't want anything big. Just a 2WD Ranger. I picked one out already at the dealership, however, I was wondering if anybody knew how they handled. It was an 05 Ranger Edge 3.0L V6 with a Regular cab. However, the axle ratio was like, 4.10, or something (I do not want to be using 4,000 rpm when I'm only going 60mph! lol, for example.) Is there a better type of Ranger out there than the Edge? Thats why I wanted some peoples opinions on this truck.
I wont ever sell my Mustang, but it really is useless when it comes to hauling stuff and getting good mileage. I just wanted some more information on the Ranger before I really think about purchasing it.
