Simple ford truck question

I've been roped into working on an inlaws truck and was wondering if the 88 ranger had an internal voltage regulator on the alt. Its a 6 cyl, dont know the displacement.

Yeppers. Almost positive on that one. If not, it'll have an external regulator that looks EXACTLY like the one on your Stang. Bosch alternator?
