Stroker 347
Ok so no takers on the mass air meter, who can tell me what meter I should go with? I have no clue, and as you can tell I have spent alot of money figuring that out. What I got is a 1990 302 / 347 with stock throttle body, ford racing mass air conversion computer, and mass air to run 19lb injectors, compression 10:1, intake and exhaust 187, lobe separation 108, dynomax full length headers, AOD tranny, 4:10 pinion, and this Bronco will not pull hills, What do I do?
What I would like to do Is Lite up 33"s on a Green light, or just pull a hill with out it acting like its going to die would be Ok! |
Re: Stroker 347
why not just buy a mass air meter thats calibrated for 19lb injectors then? the computer doesnt care about displacement ...you say you are runnin a 347? or you have a 302? what heads do you have ...id upgrade the injectors if you have nice heads on a 347...

Re: Stroker 347
Origianal 302 stroked to a 347, its a 1990 that was configured for speed density, so I had to buy a conversion to mass air. After spending that money I was a little upset when it still ran bad, so I looked deeper into it and found out it was running way lean.
So I have been told that I need at least 30lb injectors but to do that I need to upgrade the Mass Air to accomidate that. My question is will that be enough for a 347 and if so what Sensor should I go with? I don't want to buy all this and find out it still runs lean. What do you think? What is common on a 347 for injectors/mass air sensor. Thank you for your help! Mark |
Re: Stroker 347
is it a 347 with stock heads? ..if so you can still run the 19lb'ers no problem - there are a bunch of mass air meters out there it depends on how deep your wallet is ...i really wouldnt go all out on just a meter though
im not sure on what brands are the best ..i had a pro-m and it was ok i guess |
Re: Stroker 347
well you are the first one to say that and thank you for saying it. I was out looking for a bore scope cause alot of my freinds were saying that I have burnt holes in the pistons by now! So 19lb injectors with stock 302 heads on a 347 is ok?
