Question Thinking of Purchasing an 01 lightning, any pointers

i am thinking of purchasing an 01 lightning. it only has 15000 miles on it, but i noticed it was wrecked. the front has been redone. what would be a good price to counter offer. i think they were asking 27000. i know i can get them down too 25000, but i feel that is still too much for a wreck truck. it has been fixed and looks good, but i found where they took some shortcuts.

You could find a brand new '03 for a little over $30k. $27k for a '01 with 15,000 miles AND that's been wrecked doesn't seem like the best deal.

If you could talk them down to under $23k, then it might be worth it.

See if you can get an estimate on the price to fix the truck the right way (i.e. no shortcuts) and subtract that from $27k.

i just found out that they lowered the price to 24100. i still think this is way to much. the truck has been on the lot for over 3 months. and i just found one that is about 2 hours away that is an 02 with 5600 miles on it for 24000. i believe i will try to deal on the 01 if i can get it for 20-21000. if not see ya, and i am going to north to look at the 02.
