Default Trans Dilema

HEY THERE, I have a 83 2wheel drv long bed ranger with a wore out 4spd behind a pumped 2.3. I also have a 85 Turbo Coupe, 2.3 5spd. What do i have to do to get the cable clutch ass. to work in my Ranger? I don't want to use the first run hydraulic and what about the driveshaft is there cutting invoved?
