Default What do you think about running uncorked?

I'm getting ready to put my latest project vehicle on the road. It's going to need a full exhaust (obviously) before long. It's just a 300 6cyl and I have about an 18 inch pipe hanging off the exhaust manifold. The muffler shop is about 4 miles away and if I leave the house in the evening or morning before traffic I should be able to coast along at around 30 mph. Should I go for it or just buy a $20 muffler so there's some noise control and backpressure?

This is an F250 not my stang.

Drive it. 4 miles isnt ognna hurt it. It wont be as loud as you think while your driving down the road. Most of the sound will be behind you then.
