Question what mods are out there for a 5.4

I have a 97 5.4 so I am a little down on power i would like to get up to 260 where the 99 and up are. All i have so far is a K & N and dual flowmasters.

I'd probably suggest a Superchip, or a set of headers for starters unless you really want to go crazy and put a supercharger on it. There are several options as far as a S/C goes. The chip is probably the most bang for the buck.

As far as dependability goes, if your only running 6 or 7 psi, which is the most common on out of the box blowers, your really not cutting down on the life of the motor because the only time you see boost is under wide open throttle, unless your driving like a madman and start putting smaller pulleys on it.I've got a Vortech on mine and I have more miles with the blower than without, and I've had a few problems since the blower was installed, but I don't attribute it to anything but driving it a little harder than I should and running 10 lbs. of boost.I don't think you'd be dissapointed.
