Question wheel hop on a 97 f150

I have a 5.4l extened cab 97 f150 and when u step on the gas hard from a stop the whole back end of the truck shake really hard and i get very bad wheel hop. Is this common or is there something wrong with the rear of my truck? I do have some mods not much just a true dual exhuast with flowmasters, K@N, couple other things. So I am making a little more power than stock. Not much more but a little bit.

Cool

It's a common problem. I've got a bit of that on my L, too. There are traction bars made by Cal-Tracs and Rancho. Both are great and highly popular in the Lightning community. As for the new body style like yours I don't know much about them but if you go to http://nloc.org and check out the GEN 2 Lightnings forum on the discussion board they might be able to help you out. You might also try the message board on www.f150online.com/
