Mustangs on 66
April 17, 2004-May 15, 2004
Bob Waldmire, Route 66 Artist and Guru, will lead a caravan of Mustangs from Grant Park, Chicago in his own 1965 Mustang 2+2 across Route 66, averaging 80 miles a day, all the way to the Santa Monica Pier in California, crossing through 8 states on the old Route 66 highway. only about 300 total miles of unavoidable interstate. This event is planned to celebrate Route 66 and commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Mustang This is an unstructured, informal, free and open-to-the-Public event, anyone is welcome to caravan along through a town, across a state, or all the way, Chicago to LA.
