Noisey Mustang Please Help!!!!!!!!!!
A friend of mine bought a mustang that the c clip broke and the axle slid out of the car . The car had just had the clutch replaced when we got under the car to fix the rearend the driveshaft was loose at the companion flange because the bolts were not tight nor was the shifter bolts so we tightened all of these bolts repaired the rearend and put it all back together when you drive the car there is a clunk that increases with speed when you push in the clutch it goes away what do you think is causing this .Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems as everything else was loose, check the transmission mount.
That was the first thing that came to mind.

trans mount definetly, also seeing as the drive shaft slid out of the car, I would check for bearing damage as well as a bent shaft.
