Thumbs up New ETs from Norwalk!!!

Well, I went to Norwalk yesterday (120 miles north of C-Bus) for a private test and tune put on by the Central Ohio F-Body Association. Cool guys. About 30-35 Camaros, Corvettes, Firebirds and about 5 Mustangs.

Weather wasn't ideal, but not horrible either. Temps reached 83 degrees with 75% humidity and a good cross wind.

I made 5 passes (could have made 30+ if I wanted to). With a new best of:

12.65 @ 110.02

Mid 12's at 110!!!!! I am very happy. About 20 degrees cooler with less wind and I'm confident it will go 111+mph.

I had two 12.65 runs, a 12.73, a 12.75 and a 12.68 all on drag radials with 60' times in the 1.91 - 1.97 range. I still want to play with the JMS programs. All those time were with 34 degrees total timing and 2% rich fuel curve.

As a side note, a kid in a 00 or 01 Camaro Z28 turned off the shutdown area too quickly and ended up sliding into the grass and then into a big chain link fence. He ended up damaging the front end pretty good, the side was all scratched up as well as the hood.

Put some slicks on and run an 11 and then i'll be impressed!!

J/K Eric, those are nice time there and mph looks great, but with slicks i'm sure you can drop your e.t a bunch more.

Nice times... I'd be itching to get some slicks on that bad-boy to see how much e.t. you drop... that's just me though ...some people like to do it on drag radials.

Have you got some aftermarket axles and a good posi?

I think you could drop nearly a half-second with slicks alone and a good launch

...what about a NX single nozzle kit jetted @ 100hp??? along with some slicks... low 11's? ...jetted for 150????

This winter I'll be pulling the rear for an Eaton/Auburn, posi, 31 spline Moser/Strange axles, c-clip eliminators, and girdle so that I can bolt up a set of MT ET Streets or all out slicks and go for some 11.90's!!! /me keeping my fingers crossed/ I can't wait as right now I'm 'launching' the car at 2200 rpms while slipping the clutch - which stinks for ET's.

Then comes the ProCharger D-1SC...but I gotta work on the wife for this one considering I'll have to upgrade the entire fuel system, new Pro-M Univer blow-thru MAF, the blower kit, etc. Lots of $$$.

Thanks for the replies.
