Question Who would happen to know these specs?

would anyone happen to know the specs on a 68 Couger GT? MY uncle is letting me race this at the hs drags and any info would be greately appreciated. Thanx

From posts in other forums, I believe you're referring a '68 Cougar 390 Gt. I think you ought to expect maybe a 15 sec ET at maybe 90 MPH if the Cougar is stock. You won't see that 13 second ET unless the car is extensively modified.

It's got a racing tranny, and headers with a flowmaster exhaust system.........

With the headers and exhaust and the (shift kit/ stall converter?), I'm still guessing high 14's at best. That's actually pretty good for a '60's car without many mods. The 390 was good for low end torque, but was not really fast in those cars.
