World Ford Challenge!
Who all is going to the WFC this year? Racing or spectating? I"m planning on being there with some friends from about the 18-20th just spectating this year. If for some reason you don't know about it go to www.worldfordchallenge.com/ and check it out. It's May 17-20. The site has everything including ticket prices. Maybe a bunch of us from here could meet or something. Have a Mustangworks get-together or something.

Its a huge event, that's for sure. I've never been able to attend though as we've always got a FFW event scheduled for the same weekend. Maybe one of these years they'll fall on different weekends so that I can go. I hear the Manufacturer's Midway is awesome. Bring your charge card!

I live about 10 minutes from Gateway Raceway, and I will definitely be there. I had hoped to have my blower on by then, but we'll see. I've had to dip into the fund for a couple of things, and it looks like I may have to end up goign with an A-trim instead of an S-trim. Anyways, I can't wait for it, I went to the one last year and had a blast all weekend. We could have a big function @ the HOOTERS in Fairview Heights, which is about 10 minutes from the track. I know lots of the girls that work there, as well as a copule of my buds in the kitchen. Well, cya...josh

Oh yeah, Josh, sounds good to me. We get enough stangs there it'll look like a car show. Stangs and hooters in one spot. Hmm...can't get much better.

I'll talk to my friend that works at hooters, and see if he could get us a discount on wings. We could also get the girls to take pictures w/ our cars all in like one big photo scene. LIke I said, i know several of them, even dates 2 of them and one had an identical twin...how cool is that. Anyways, my buddy obviously knows all of them, so that should be feasable. Wouldn't that make a good picture to put up on the wall????? I hope we can get a lot of people together. That was supposed to happen last year, but it kinda fell through. If anyone else knows anyone who will be interested. Let me/us know. Josh

I wouldn't miss it for the world. I think we are staying in Collinsville too, and arriving on Wednesday night. We should have a group of four or five cars coming from West Michigan. Man I've got a lot of work to do before then!!

Alright guys/gals it's almost here. Are we still going to try to have a get together? I sure hope so. Still want to shoot for the Hooters at Fairview Heights? Josh? I know I'm definitely up for it. Josh, how late do they stay open? The toughest part, of course is getting this organized around ya'll that are going to be racing/showing. I"m thinking we could do it Saturday night around 8pm or so. I don't know. Throw out some ideas and we'll see what works best. The show is over at 5pm and most of the racing is done by 7:30pm-ish except the bracket racing. What do ya'll think? I hope we can make this work.

I am going out there with a friend of mine, he is trying to get his mustang done before then, it will be close. I will have my 85 notchback there. Neither of us are going to race, just going to go down and hang out and watch. We will be staying at the drury inn in collinsville....
we went to the world ford challenge in Joliet Illinois a couple of years back, and it was a blast. The whole town was taken over by mustangs. You could hear flowmasters all night....AWESOME ------------------ 1985 Former 4 cylinder car 12.74@105 MPH |

Hey Ya'all. Hooters stays open on the weekends until 1:00am....soooo...there is plenty, plenty of time for everyone to meet at the one in Fairview Heights, IL...I know a lot of you are staying at the hotels in:
Collinsville O'Fallon Fairview Heights Caseyville, etc. Point being, all of these places are right by the track and hooters...all very, very close together. There is also a HUGE "Weekends Only" furntiure store parking lot right across the street where we could all go and B.S. without any problems. I'd love to meet up there with a bunch of you guys and chow down and check out some nice *** mustangs and take some pictures with the cutie Hooters girls. Rock on!! Sweet, Josh. Thanks for the heads up. C'mon everyone what do you think? What's a good time for everyone? Hopefully there will be a bunch of Lightnings from NLOC meeting there, too. I'm talking with them too to get something figured out. It should be one sweet cruise night.

Sounds good to me. Let's just start meeting there around 8pm Saturday night at the Hooters in Fairview Heights and probably close the place down. Gives a good span of time for lots of people to show up. Hope to see alot of you there.
